Biography

Sheila Williamson has been at ذكذكتسئµ for three years, serving as clinical instructor and lead faculty for Simulation in the College of Health Professions. Before joining ذكذكتسئµ, she practiced as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Henry Ford Health System, where she continues to provide anesthesia care.

Williamson is a proud alumna of ذكذكتسئµ, where she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice. Returning as faculty has been especially meaningful because she can contribute to the same community that shaped her as a nurse leader.

Outside of work, Williamson dedicates time to community outreach and engagement. As president of Making It Count and founder of TIGHT4Life, she partners with barbers, beauticians and other trusted community members to address health disparities and social determinants of health (SDOH) in minority populations. She also enjoy mentoring students and spending time with family.

What Williamson likes best about ذكذكتسئµ is its mission-driven culture that emphasizes service, justice and the education of the whole person. She believes this alignment of values creates a strong foundation for both academic excellence and meaningful community impact.

Williamson believes ذكذكتسئµ’s best-kept secret is the STAR Simulation Center—a cutting-edge space where students can learn and practice clinical skills in a safe, supportive environment that mirrors real-world patient care.

What motivates Williamson daily is the opportunity to empower the next generation of nurses and anesthesia providers, while also giving back to the community. Whether in the classroom, simulation lab or neighborhood barbershop, she strives to bridge gaps in health equity and inspire others to lead with compassion and purpose.
